Do You Have an Open Mind?

Changing the Voice in Your Head
February 10, 2022In my last blog post, I talked about the importance of having an OPEN MIND when you step into the world of healing and transformation work. It’s so true.
Remember Einstein’s quote? “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” Without an open mind, we’ve set major limitations on what is true and what can change.
But you need more than an open mind to move things along. There are two other attitudes that will greatly serve you. They are WILLINGNESS and ALLOWING.
You might think you are both of those things, but are you really? Are you willing to look at things in a different light? Are you willing to let go of old grievances and hurts? Are you willing to change your story? Will you allow something other than what you already think to be true?
You might even think that willingness and allowing describe the same thing. They work hand and hand… but they are different.
WILLINGNESS is an active role. It is your willingness that creates the urge to seek resolution, EXPLORE POSSIBILITIES, bringing with it new options.
ALLOWING is a passive action. When you allow, you release the need to control. You loosen the perimeters of how you think things are or should be. There is a level of trust you step into when you let go and simply allow. Do you trust the Universe? Do you trust yourself?
It might help to think of these qualities as partners in the CO-CREATION process. The active, more masculine quality being your willingness. The passive, more feminine quality being your allowance.
Just like the symbol of yin and yang, these two attitudes work together in balance and can open new possibilities.
Testimonial:
“I truly benefited from my healing sessions, especially the ho’oponopono exercise, going deep into the subconscious while also forgiving myself and everyone else involved. It freed up space for my true essence to shine. I like using prayer energy in my daily practice and found the healings resonated with my spiritual beliefs. I feel lighter and more grounded after my sessions” ~ Melissa Basque
