Connect to Your Soul: Simple Ways to Find Your Center
October 9, 2026Step into a mystical journey of self-alignment and soul growth with intuitive energy channel Amy Elizabeth on this episode of Exploring the Mystical Side of Life.
Have you ever felt out of sync with yourself—perhaps silencing your voice, living for others’ expectations, or shrinking back to keep the peace? Amy Elizabeth invites us to notice these subtle “distortions” in our energy field and guides us toward reclaiming our personal power. Together with Linda Lang, she explores how living by someone else’s truth keeps us disconnected from our authentic selves, and how returning to alignment can unlock our innate spiritual gifts.
Here are three inspiring takeaways from their powerful conversation:
🔹 Step Into Your Power: True alignment isn’t a static destination—it’s a daily practice of tuning into your body and honoring what feels expansive and loving. When you follow your own truth, distortions begin to melt away and you become “untouchable” in your personal energy field.
🔹 Heal and Activate: Healing goes beyond releasing emotional wounds—it’s an act of conscious choosing, where every layer released brings more light and the awakening of your soul gifts. As Amy Elizabeth shares, sometimes the simplest ability—like radiating love—can be your most profound gift.
🔹 Embrace Soul Sovereignty: Healing is only possible with your intentional participation. Seeking alignment for yourself, not for others, is crucial. This opens the door to genuine transformation and spiritual activation, as echoed by Amy Elizabeth’s illuminating light language transmission offered to listeners.
Let this episode be your gentle invitation to listen to your inner compass, release old patterns, and step boldly onto your unique spiritual path. Discover the freedom that comes from living your truth—and watch your mystical gifts unfold.

Amy Elizabeth:
Ultimately, when you are in your power, you are in alignment, you are in your truth.
Linda Lang:
But how do you know when you’re no longer being true to yourself? Maybe you hold back what you really want to say, change yourself to keep the peace, or find yourself living by someone else’s expectations. Today we explore how we lose touch with our own truth, how we can recognize when we’re out of alignment, and how that journey may even open the door to discovering our spiritual gifts.
Announcer:
Welcome to Exploring the Mystical Side of Life with your host, Linda Lang.
Linda Lang:
Hi, this is Linda Lang from www.ThoughtChange.com. We are Exploring the Mystical Side of Life. Today I’m speaking with intuitive energy channel Amy Elizabeth. Amy, you used to call yourself a medical intuitive, but you don’t anymore. Why?
Amy Elizabeth:
So I feel the term medical intuitive is quite limiting in what’s actually happening because yes, I would help people release certain vibrations and distortions from their body, but there’s so much more happening on a multidimensional level. So for example, I had a lady come and see me. She’d been trying to deal with an issue that she’d had for over 20 years. And as I was tuning in, my system could feel it all over her body. And after the session, she came back again and she told me what she was more excited about was the fact she hadn’t dreamt for 20 years and she had started dreaming again after our session. So I feel medical intuitive and a lot of the things that happen, it’s… You can’t put it in a box. It’s just medical intuition.
Linda Lang:
And I think a lot of people really associate a medical intuitive with physical body and physical healings as compared to maybe patterns or old emotions or energetic distortions.
Amy Elizabeth:
So where I started out, we would have people present with pain and quite often when people distort their energy systems, then things can come in that cause pain. You know, they can sit on your joints and you can have joint pains. And we can hold this container in this high vibrational frequency that helps release that, and their pain goes. But unless these people come into their power and stop distorting their energy field and allowing themselves to be open to these things, that pain’s going to come back. It’s not necessarily the same frequencies that are there. We can support people in doing what they need to do, but there’s something that you need to understand. So my mission is about talking how to come into your power and how to come into alignment, which works alongside releasing these frequencies and vibrations and staying there. And ultimately, when you are in your power, you are in alignment, you are in your truth, there are no distortions, you are untouchable.
Linda Lang:
So you’ve mentioned distortion a couple of times. Can you describe what a distortion is in an energy field? What it looks like or how you interpret it?
Amy Elizabeth:
So, for example, say I’m in a situation and I want to speak up and I don’t speak up, or I’m shrinking… that feeling of feeling contracted in a situation. When you feel like you are shrinking, your energy field literally is shrinking. And as such, you can think of yourself as coming off of the path, out of alignment, to fit with someone else’s peace, to fit in alignment with someone else. And then when you do that, because you’re not in your power, your energy field becomes vulnerable and certain things can come in.
Say someone comes at you and they’re having an argument and you get pulled into that argument. You’re pulled into their frequency, out of your own alignment, into alignment with them. So whatever is happening in their energy field can then enter your energy field. Or for example, if you’re listening to a friend speaking about, I don’t know, a family member and how someone is suffering, and you choose to join them in their suffering and join them in their story.
That story is actually nothing to do with you. So you are then distorting your field by joining them in their story. The better thing would be to do is hold your alignment to help pull them up into your frequency and just hold a container without moving into their frequency. Does that make sense?
Linda Lang:
It does. I’m curious though whether distortions always come from the outside, or can they be just self-induced? Let’s say that it’s something internally that we’ve created a certain pattern or a certain persona maybe for ourselves because that’s who we think we are.
Amy Elizabeth:
Or a role that you’ve had to play. Quite often, the character that we play and the stories we tell ourselves are built on survival and who we’ve had to be growing up and things like that, which is really, a lot of the time, masking who we are. And then we get stuck in these patterns of our character and who we think we are.
Linda Lang:
And what about past life influences or perhaps karmic influences?
Amy Elizabeth:
I find the karmic influences quite interesting. Because I know, along my path, there have been certain people that I have met who have shown me my wounds, my karmic wounds. And they’ve shone a light on them and really poked at those wounds and helped me heal them more than, you know, if someone else had said something. It’s not landed quite the same. But there’s certain people along the path, especially when you step into your own healing, who will come in and play a role for you and really trigger you and push all those buttons. And I think with this karmic healing, understanding and having this awareness of the role that all these people around us are playing, when we understand there’s no separation and it’s just they’re coming in to help us grow, to help us put in our boundaries, to show us where we don’t love ourselves or the parts of ourselves that we don’t like. I’ve met a lot of people who, who really triggered that in me on my journey.
Linda Lang:
So it’s actually a good thing even though it’s not comfortable.
Amy Elizabeth:
Yeah. And the thing is, as you put those boundaries in and you come more into your power, the more you are triggered by these people in your life, then you heal it for your ancestors as well. You become the one to heal that wound. And then the more of these karmic wounds you heal and the more into your power you come, then you shift from being in this state of creating karma into this place of neutrality, and you move on to your dharma path where you’re no longer really creating karma.
Linda Lang:
You know, as you describe what distortion is, I suspect there isn’t a soul on this planet who doesn’t have some type of distortion, or at least did at one time during their life.
Amy Elizabeth:
I agree. I mean, all throughout the day, I’m constantly checking myself and coming back into alignment. Because I notice when someone says something and it makes me contract, or I feel fear over something, and I’m like, “Oh, that’s just showing me it’s not my truth,” so that I can come back into alignment. For example, you know, if someone tells you you have an illness and they tell you the statistics with that and what’s going to happen, if you feel yourself contracting with this fear, to me that’s saying it’s not true to your soul. Your soul only knows love, excitement, compassion. And then this contraction is like, “Oh, that’s not true. Let’s just surrender and trust and move away from this fear.” And this can help us shift into a more aligned state of being that actually helps us release a lot of these distortions and interferences that build within our energy field.
Linda Lang:
I find that often when people have a diagnosis, it sets it almost more “concretely” in their psyche. And then there’s the whole morphogenic field of that disease, and what people think about it, and what the scientific or medical community thinks about it. It’s a little harder to move sometimes because it’s more firmly anchored.
Amy Elizabeth:
Yeah, I think a lot of time when people are told, “Oh, you have this and this is the outcome.” You take on that belief, and so you’ll go down that path. But then when people start to surrender to that path… You’ve got those who, okay, they accept that as, I don’t know, their ending. And then you’ve got those other people who don’t accept it, and they look for alternative medicines, alternative holistic therapies, and then they start to realize that they are the creator and try to understand the root cause of the issue and why it’s there. And quite often when they can see this disease as something that they’ve perhaps closed themselves off from— so for example, a lot of people who need to do maybe inner child work, or they don’t speak up for themselves, you can see this version of them shut behind a door. And then this journey of coming to understand, “Oh, there’s a part of me that I’m ignoring and I need to really sit and look at this part and heal this relationship I have with myself.” And as that heals, then things within the body heal.
Linda Lang:
Do you think that some people come in with disease written into their life path and that’s their path and that’s what their soul has chosen to learn and grow from? Or do you think that disease is self-created, not consciously, but through our choices and our patterns and can be shifted?
Amy Elizabeth:
Yeah, both. I think some things are, you know, written in the stars, and you’ll experience this when you get to this age, and you’ll have this journey of having to come into your power or whatever it is, and you have a choice point. The thing is, when you understand the vibrational alignment, all of these potentials exist. So yes to all of it and no to all of it. You get to choose from where you choose to align yourself. It just makes my brain go… because it’s all true and it’s all not true at the same time.
Linda Lang:
Sounds like the multiverse.
Amy Elizabeth:
Right. You know, as we heal… like say, you know, if you’re someone’s a smoker and then when they give up smoking, it’s because they’ve shifted vibrationally to a timeline where they never smoked before. So as someone takes these little steps of vibrationally shifting their frequency away from this timeline where they had this illness, or everything existed in their lifetime where this was created. And the further they move away from that and shift their frequency, they heal. But they heal because they shift to a vibrational alignment where that disease didn’t exist.
Linda Lang:
I’m curious how you see distortions in someone’s field.
Amy Elizabeth:
I feel them, so I don’t see them. So how it works for me is if someone— I don’t even know what… need to know what the person has. I just am a divine channel for the frequencies to come through. I completely move out of the way. I’m not doing anything on an intellectual level. I’m just a channel for the frequencies, and my system will feel the distortions within their blueprint and their energy field and physical body. Mm-hmm. And I will quite often feel that in my body as my system channels the frequencies and shows their energy field what to do.
This is how you release that. And then if it’s in their highest alignment for them to do that, if they’re ready to do that, they mirror it and they release whatever distortion it is that they’re holding. So I’m not doing it for them. I’m holding this container, bringing through these frequencies, showing them in a way how to do it. And if they’re ready, they’ll do it. So I’m not… I’m not healing anyone. I’m opening the door and they meet the energy where they’re at. So some people may say, “I didn’t feel anything.”
Well, then you’ve got some more work to do before you need to come back. Potentially, I mean; some people don’t necessarily always feel things. And then I might have someone else who’s literally vibrating off their chair because they’re so open. They’re ready to release it all, they’ve done the work. And I might see all these versions of them in my mind’s eye lifting up and stepping out of their body, and then I’ll see them rising up to new timelines and all the rest of it. But it’s really dependent on where the person is. And if someone is turning up because their mother wants them to heal or their husband wants them to have a session, if that person’s energy field is contracted and they’re not ready to heal and they’re doing it for that person, It’s not going to work. Or it’s going to be a much slower process than someone who is ready and open to receive, to surrender everything.
Linda Lang:
It reminds me of how many wives I’ve heard that wanted to have their husbands healed without their permission, or without their knowledge even. It’s like, people… that’s— you can’t do that. You take on the karma, I think, because you are actually discounting that soul’s sovereignty.
Amy Elizabeth:
I had a client and she knew her grandson who was living with her had something and could we help him? And it was only if he’s in agreement. And it’s like, but he doesn’t believe in energy work. And it’s like, well, you could ask him if he’s willing to let us pray for him. And the next day she said he was a changed person. But she had to ask him, she had to get his permission, and he had to be open to receive.
Linda Lang:
Exactly. So if we have distortions, we might not even know that we have them, right? Because we’ve been living our lives with them. So we think that’s naturally who we are, unless we come across someone who can tune in and help us pinpoint those distortions. And then how do we actually release them?
Amy Elizabeth:
So I hold a frequency that helps people release distortions and frequencies. A distortion could even be when you have not spoken up and you’ve suppressed those words and they are sitting as an energy in your throat, and then that builds and builds over a certain amount of time. Or you continually do things that you don’t want to do to make other people happy. And sometimes there’s a resentment that grows in you, and sometimes that resentment can turn into a disease.
And then, yeah, there’s other things to be aware of just in everyday life and situations that you put yourself in. If something feels off, listen to your body because your body is your guidance system. It is your compass, and it’s constantly talking to you. And the more you listen to it, the more you will notice when you are doing something that is out of alignment, that may cause you to distort, and you feel that contraction within your body. So obviously, when something feels expansive and exciting, then that’s your soul saying, “YES! Follow that.”
But then sometimes, you know, when we’re doing something new, we’re uncomfortable and we do feel anxiety with that. But that’s not necessarily a distortion, but it is showing us that we’re holding these fear patterns of the unknown. I quite often explain it as creating on 2 timelines. You either create consciously outside of the simulation, and this is creating from your soul in alignment with love and truth, excitement and joy. And when there’s the fear. Your soul doesn’t know fear. This is not true, and this brings you into distortions and into the simulation. And then when you’re creating unconsciously in the simulation, you have the scripts, you have the programs, you have the limiting beliefs, you have all of this running.
And this is where you have your karma as well. But when you can align to the timeline of trusting and surrendering and know that everything that’s happening is serving you— even when you feel uncomfortable doing something new, but you’re doing it anyway— you’re the author of your own story rather than having someone else write your story for you.
Linda Lang:
And it’s not like once you step into alignment, that’s where you stay. You kind of… wishy-washy almost… like there’s a little line and you can cross that line so easily, right?
Amy Elizabeth:
Yeah, which I’m doing every day, just constantly trying to bring myself in with this higher awareness. And it’s not like we shouldn’t feel fear, but you can have the fear, let it move through you, but hold this awareness of knowing it’s okay. I’m moving through it and I don’t have to go down that path of looping, and I can come back into alignment once I’ve let this move through me.
Linda Lang:
The other thing I’d like to say is that anticipation feels an awful lot like anxiety in the body. And some people get them confused or interpret them incorrectly, that it’s actually the spirit anticipating a new experience, but they interpret it as anxiety, and that anxiety holds them back from doing the experience.
Amy Elizabeth:
Yeah, I have felt that too myself.
Linda Lang:
Amy, why is it that some people just don’t heal?
Amy Elizabeth:
There’s a number of reasons. One of the reasons can be… say you’re lonely, you’re living on your own, and your children come and collect you for your doctor’s appointments. And that’s how you get to see them because you’re unwell when they come in… So there’ll be this belief pattern that although you want to heal, if you heal, your children might not come and visit you. For some people, they’re not necessarily contracted to heal. They’ve chosen to experience this illness and leave the world in this way. But sometimes when people fully surrender to that and release it, then they have spontaneous healing once they fully surrender and let go. Some people get very attached to the outcome or have an expectation of how something should be.
And I always see these expectations as like a lid you place on something rather than allowing the energy to flow and unfold as it’s meant to. It’s like, “Oh well, this is meant to happen. I’m taking this medication and I’m doing this and this is supposed to happen next.” It’s like, well, that expectation brings you down into what I call the 3D and limits things. But if you can release all expectations, release everything, have no attachments to anything, then you allow all the energy to flow. You’re not stopping any energy flow. Sometimes it’s the attachments and the expectations that can block it and stop the energy.
Linda Lang:
And that’s just on the physical level, without thinking about emotional healing or healing those type of limiting belief patterns that we’ve embraced and identified as who we are. That’s a whole different level. of healing?
Amy Elizabeth:
Some people just aren’t ready to face those emotions and that sadness, and they just can’t dive deep enough into that. I know with some energy healing, you can release those stuck emotions, and people will experience a session a bit like a life review, and they’ll see pings of things that happened throughout their life, like stagnant emotions that have been buried are released, but it depends on the type of healing that people are willing to do.
Linda Lang:
Amy, what’s the difference between healing and activation? Is a healing an activation?
Amy Elizabeth:
A healing can lead to an activation. So as we heal, we release the distortions, the lower frequencies and vibrations. Maybe think of it as like a plug or a block or something on your spine… not necessarily your spine, but this is just as an example. Sometimes that one thing can be released and someone can start channeling, or someone can start seeing energies with their eyes or feeling energy in their hands. Not all healing leads to activations, but sometimes, depending where people are on their path, if it’s in alignment with them to activate, then those activations can take place.
Linda Lang:
And so for people who are looking to uncover their gifts or fulfill their purpose, Can they actually do that without doing their healing work?
Amy Elizabeth:
I mean, some people’s gifts do activate…
Linda Lang:
Spontaneously?
Amy Elizabeth:
Yeah. I don’t know these people, but what I experience is you have people on their healing journey. So that was me as well. I was healing a painful neck and then you feel the energies and then it’s like all of this weight is lifted off of your DNA, which is compressed. And then, as all of this distortions and weight are lifted off your DNA, it begins to activate as it anchors in more light. And this isn’t junk DNA, these are your natural gifts.
So as you anchor in more and more of this light, it’s like you tip the scales to bringing in more light, releasing more and more distortions. And you can think of it as just more and more and more coming online the more you work on yourself. And that, I believe, is the best thing anyone can do, is to work on themselves. Because we are all one. What I heal in me, I heal in someone else. What you heal in you, you know, (is) a healing for the collective.
Linda Lang:
When you say work on yourself, I keep hearing “being true to yourself.” And yet, in some people’s minds, what they think is true for themselves, or to themselves, might not actually be true. Can you give any insight on how we could actually know when something is true and in alignment?
Amy Elizabeth:
So what I would say for me, having been on this journey, is there are certain things that I believed to be true. And we believe them to be true because we’re not necessarily all-knowing. Whereas, you know, if you exist in the higher dimensions, they’re all-knowing. They don’t have beliefs, they just know. But as I’ve gone along my journey and I’ve learned more discernment and more tuning into my body of what feels expansive, what feels constrictive. Something can be true for you at one moment and then you can shift within minutes and it’s no longer true for you. So I think that’s a really hard one to answer.
Linda Lang:
It makes our journey here more interesting, I think. Any advice for people who do want to open up their gifts, to awaken their gifts?
Amy Elizabeth:
Don’t give your power away. To open up your gifts, you have to come into alignment, into your truth. Not anyone else’s truth, not doing things for anyone else. Doing absolutely what feels good for you. So when I was on this path and in the earlier days, and I was like, “I don’t know what— I don’t know what I do.” And someone’s like, “What, what do you enjoy? What makes your heart sing?” And it’s like holding space of people, teaching them about alignment, bringing through my light language transmissions… doesn’t need to be more complicated than that.
I had a client the other day, and she wasn’t sure if the messages she was getting were real, and didn’t know what her gifts were. And I was like, “Well, if you’re receiving your messages and they feel expansive, they’re for you. And what do you feel your gift is?” And she’s like, “I just blast love everywhere.” And I was like, “Well, please send me one of your love blasts.” And as she was doing it, she was crying, and I felt this blissful energy all over my body. It really isn’t necessarily complicated what people’s gifts are. You just need to tune in and figure it out for yourself, not necessarily have anyone else tell you what it is.
Linda Lang:
We do tend to think of gifts as being very elaborate.
Amy Elizabeth:
Yes, but quite often they’re very, very simple.
Linda Lang:
So true. Amy, you mentioned that you do light language transmissions. Is that the main way that you work with frequency, or are there other techniques that you use?
Amy Elizabeth:
So I open up as a divine channel and the frequencies come through. And sometimes I just receive a nudge to bring through a light language transmission, or I can hold an intention to bring through a light language transmission to release a certain thing or bring through certain frequencies, and it can feel more potent that way.
Linda Lang:
Is there a reason why you gravitate towards light language?
Amy Elizabeth:
It just activated and started coming through. Literally one day my lips were vibrating and I could feel all this energy around my mouth, and I started speaking light language. And it sounded like gobbledygook to me, but what I found is it actually started clearing my throat chakra and opening that up more and more. And then there is a power to your voice, you know, your frequency of creation. When you understand that you are the creator disguised as creation, and the power that lies within your voice and the frequencies that you can bring through and amplify.
Linda Lang:
So important for everyone to understand because we’re communicating with our voice all the time.
Amy Elizabeth:
And we must be impeccable with our word.
Linda Lang:
So true. Amy, would you consider offering the listeners an energy transmission today, maybe to help them in their path for alignment or whatever needs to be done?
Amy Elizabeth:
I’ll bring through a light language transmission. For whoever’s watching’s highest good, whatever they need at this moment, in this time. So I invite them to just take a nice deep breath in, hold at the top, and slow release. And just be open to receive what’s for your highest good.
(Light Language channel)
There you go.
Linda Lang:
I could really feel that, Amy, almost like liquid honey being poured into my crown, just like really smooth. And it’s very interesting.
Amy Elizabeth:
It is one that you can quite often feel it land in your field and just integrate.
Linda Lang:
Where can we send people who want to know more about your work, Amy?
Amy Elizabeth:
My website is amyelizabeth.uk, and then I’ve started a YouTube channel, Amy Elizabeth Energetic Alignment. I just share snippets of things that come up that I want to share with people about how to come into alignment or how to help deal with certain things. And it’s usually followed by a little light language transmission as well.
Linda Lang:
Perfect. Thank you so much for being my guest.
Amy Elizabeth:
Thank you for having me, Linda. It’s been a pleasure.
