Welcome to Exploring the Mystical Side of Life with your host, Linda Lang.
Linda Lang:
Hi, this is Linda Lang from ThoughtChange.com. We are Exploring the Mystical Side of Life once again this week. If you enjoy our conversations, remember to subscribe, share with a friend. Today we are talking very personal aspects of transformation and the spiritual awakening that is happening to so many in our world today. I have spiritual teachers Rocio Aquino and Angel Orengo with me. Welcome to you both.
Rocia Aquino:
Thank you so much. And you can call me Ra. That’s it, it’s so easy.
Angel Orengo:
Thank you for having us, Linda. What a pleasure to be here.
Rocia Aquino:
And what a pleasure to be in these times that everyone is awakening in different ways and how we can really help them to activate more this path of consciousness that we all have.
Linda Lang:
I just want to say that that’s a beautiful shift in perception because that’s not how most people are looking at this time. They’re struggling with change, but it is part of that awakening process. Right?
Angel Orengo:
Yeah. I think, you know, this reminds me of a video that we saw of a teacher speaking to her audience, her kids, and it was more that point when you start to feel really uncomfortable. Don’t fight it, lean into it. That’s the growth. And so I imagine that a lot of what’s happening is really that shift in all of us where we are saying, right, ah, what is this that we’re living? But that awareness, in fact, is also a symbol of something greater, which is you’re realizing it, you’re noticing it. Therefore, you’re at a different vibration and a different energy. Embrace it and sort of go into it and see where it takes you, because I promise you, the end of that, it’s so amazing and beautiful because I know I’ve experienced it. I believe we all have. Just lean into it.
Linda Lang:
It’s kind of like the divine gifts that are built into the struggles. There is a gift for going through those challenges. It’s not all for naught.
Angel Orengo:
There’s a line in our book that says, “I rather walk through fire for a few minutes than carry the weight of my hurt and my trauma the rest of my life.” And so I think that’s what we’re all being invited to do, is to… yes, it’s going to be challenging, not difficult, because difficult sometimes insinuates that it’s almost close to impossible. Challenging because challenges are things that we’re used to overcoming. And so that’s the invitation. Lean into it, go through it. I promise you that when you heal the wounds, you’re no longer at the mercy of anything else around you. Because, and this is a saying we have, when a woman, you can say a man as well, loves herself fully, she’s no longer at the mercy of external forces because she becomes the force. And that’s the invitation.
Linda Lang:
Challenges also have an applied assumption of growth, right? Difficulties, not necessarily the same. So tell me how you started on this path of becoming spiritual teachers.
Rocia Aquino:
I began in 1985 when my mother in Mexico, she lost everything with that earthquake. So at one point she lost her, she lost faith for life because she was a single mom with four kids and all the properties or what she had, she at one point become with(out) anything. So I saw a beautiful human lose her life, her spark, and she died. And since then is how you, how you can help people to feel better about their situation and shift consciousness. So it took me 40 years. And really when I begin to ask and see, for example, Angel, a person who he was always looking for a glass full.
And in my case, I was trained to be a victim, to see the glass always empty, and you are against. In that moment when I begin to understand all these concepts, really I was able to do the alchemy inside of me to really shift consciousness. And now, the beauty of this is that I can explain to people how they can really tap into the emotional body and release the energy for them, to really begin to find what is harmony. So I became my best friend at 50. So now that I know how to transmit this information, I see my kids, 19 and 17, going through life with the sets of tools for them to have a different experience. The change, challenge happened, but they take it from another perspective.
And that perspective is something that we are really trying to transmit to more people for them to get it and to celebrate. For example, today, Linda, I wake up and when I saw Angel in front of a window and seeing the sunrise, for me, the only thing that I was, is like I was feeling grateful, grateful of seeing all of my life. And then I was celebrating with him to say, you know, I’m so happy that we were out of the matrix, of the game, or whatever. Or rat race. Because really I have my own challenge, he has his own challenge, but then when you are out and you begin to see how incredible is our life, all the blessings that we have, the abundance that we can live. In that moment, it’s like we are the winners, and that’s free for everyone to have. And that is In a nutshell, 40 years of difficulties, experience try- error, try – error, how you do it. But finally, when you get it, oh, my God, how incredible it is that we can want to share this with the world.
Linda Lang:
And it’s easy and not easy at the same time. Like, I totally understand. It’s like people have their blinders on and they see something so narrowly and define it so narrowly, and that definition keeps it locked for them. If they could just switch it, you know, turn it a little bit, a whole new possibility opens up for them, right?
Rocia Aquino:
Yes. And it’s really profound.
Angel Orengo:
One of the things that has been really helpful for us was first doing it together. That helped. That was tremendous. We have a deep respect for each other. And after 25 years, or 23 years, because this is when it started a few years ago, together, it helped that we had worked together, that we had shared so much, that we had traveled the world. So there was a certain amount of awareness that started, that fed, if you will, that. But where it truly started to happen is through curiosity. And Rocio had that curiosity more than me.
I was very content with life because I had an incredible amount of wisdom. I couldn’t explain it, I couldn’t tell you where it came from, but it was there and it led me. It was sort of my main GPS, even though sometimes I veered away and made a lot of silly, stupid mistakes and… But I always somehow always recognized that I had veered away and I needed to come back to some form of center. She was at a different place, just looking. And so at one point, something happened where we invested a lot of money, lost it all, and I was able to let go of. Of that feeling. And she would ask me, I need to let go.
How did you do it? I said, I don’t know, but can you just let it go? Because for me, it was that simple. And it was her curiosity to say, I need the ABCs of that, the ABCs of forgiveness. And that led us down a path where we just started to experience, to learn, and we started to see perhaps the most important thing, how ideas rule our life, you know? And it’s ideas that come from religion, from society, from experiences, from our parents, from everything we’ve lived. And sometimes… You know, what’s the worst thing I ever said? It was, “This is how I am, and I’m never going to change.” Because when you close the door to change, you’re basically saying, “Nothing that happens outside of me is relevant in my life.” And that’s not true. We are a result of so much. And so when we opened ourselves to that process, it really was beautiful. And we started to change, and to observe it in each other.
Rocia Aquino:
And you know, Linda, only to add to that… it’s beautiful when you trust, when you trust yourself, and when you begin to see something in other people. Because really, you receive feedback from the Universe all the time. And at one point, I saw that Angel, I didn’t have it clear, but I saw that he was with change.
Angel Orengo:
Chains. I was chained. I wasn’t my full self.
Rocia Aquino:
I didn’t see it on me, but I see it on him. And at one point, I didn’t have the words to explain. So that’s why we went to different teachers and healers to help us to really free ourselves little by little. Because the answers of… the answers of this beautiful puzzle is not in only one way. It’s in different pieces from different places. So we need to access and be conscious that we ask, “Show me the next. Show me.” Because it’s going to come to you. So that was something beautiful to see somebody who is brilliant today but was not in his full potential, and neither I.
So the beauty of doing this together was to really respect each other, in a difficult way, but understanding that it’s a journey that we can hold together, and really hold the space for the other one to try something different and expand. And now that we know how to do it between him and I, we are doing it with our kids. And the circle only expands and expands and expands. And it’s something that we want more people to see. That two normal persons who they were totally in the game of life, winning because we were successful, but really we were empty without the connection. And we came from broken families, sexual abuse, like a lot of stories that hold you back to who you are, and really doesn’t allow you to really break free to experience yourself in another way.
Linda Lang:
And now you help other people to release their chains and step into their authentic selves. How do you do that with other people? Like it’s different with your kids because they’re around all the time and they learn by example. And also, you know, you can have conversations, and the relationship just can blossom to teach that it’s a little bit different when you’re working with people because you have them for a short time.
Rocia Aquino:
Some of the things that we are helping, for example, now in the book, is to inspire. Because if you begin to see another way of thinking, you understand that another human is doing it. So it’s possible for you to do it. And that’s why storytelling is really possible. Because then you begin to see the characters in a novel, how they transform themselves, and how they change from victimhood, for being not enough, for a lot of trauma, and to see how they can get inspired. And people who are reading it, they begin to feel, you know, it’s possible. Because we understand, in the moment that you begin to think about it, you can send the signal to your body to begin to act in another way. So you begin to have a connection with your heart.
And from there you begin to send the signal to your life to begin to create something different. So it’s these connections of the reason to the heart, and from the heart to the reason, and then you break the circle.
Angel Orengo:
I was just going to say, when we started writing the book, what we really wanted to do was put on paper, or at least that was the human intention to put on paper, what we were experiencing and the things that worked for us. And so for us, it was five lessons: awareness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance, and intention. When we dove into those five, it transformed us because it started opening doors, and shifting energy, and cleansing. And so that’s what we wanted to do. We said, oh, so we can help other people connect with these five energies, five lessons, five tools. Then maybe we create a space that allows them to go inside of themselves, with the tools, so that they can do the work, so that they can do the change. I think one of the biggest challenges we have is that people say, “Tell me what to do. Help me get rid of this.”
And The Orchid, this fictional place that one day will be real, but right now a fictional place is inside of you. And all we really do is create a container of love, of non judgment, and of possibility and curiosity so that you can say, “Okay, I feel safe in this environment. I’m going to go inside and deal with what I need to deal with, with that baggage, with that spine that I need to remove.” And it is in that process that you find your strength, because ultimately it is you who does the healing. People only create a space for you to be able to go inside.
Linda Lang:
So you have both mentioned your book. It’s called The Orchid: The Secret Code of Modern Goddesses. It’s a beautiful, beautiful book. And I’m really glad that you mentioned those five codes because they’re things that we all know, we all recognize, but we probably don’t understand that they have a metaphysical purpose to help us shift our lives.
Angel Orengo:
The five codes, if you will, that unlock the power within… from this perspective is 1) Awareness. Observing yourself fully and asking yourself the question, why do I think, talk, feel and act the way I do? The second one is: Gratitude. The power of seeing the beauty in everything that surrounds you. Focusing on what you have, not on what you don’t have. Then: Forgiveness. Letting go, reclaiming your energy by cutting ties with the energy that bogs you down from the past. Then: Acceptance. Making lemonade with lemons, or finding the beauty on the things that you have. Not thinking about them as if they don’t exist, but accepting them and figuring out a way around them.
Because an olive tree is an olive tree. It will never give you lemons, right? And then lastly, when you recover that energy, the last is what do you want to do with all this brand new energy that you now have to live life. Our recommendation is that you go after your dreams, whatever it is that is the most authentic to you. Because when you go into that authenticity of experience, which is and should be attached to an incredible amount of joy and happiness, you elevate yourself to the highest energy possible. And that is the meaning of life, for you, for Linda Lang to experience herself fully as Linda Lang, for Angel and Rocio to do the same. And that’s how we shift the world.
Linda Lang:
Beautiful and so true. We all need to step into who we really are. One of the ways you did that was through the book that you wrote. You said you had a conscious purpose when you started the book, but that book actually took on a life of its own, became a channeled book. Tell me a little bit about the experience of having the book write itself through you.
Rocia Aquino:
You know, it was absolutely fantastic how when you begin to ask, things are given to you. So at one point, it’s how I can help right now, in these times? How I can bring more and now really be true to your heart? And at one point, through dreams, came an idea. And the idea is like, why don’t you share this with the world? And he’s like, “Okay.” So I went to him and he’s like, why don’t we do a TV show for people (to) begin to see another way of thinking? And today Linda, it’s very easy to tell you that the book has awards, several, that it’s liking, has energy. But at the moment when you are living those kind of moments, you are not clear. You need to trust, really, that everything is going to present.
Because what happened to us were little miracles were guiding us to do it. Even though that we are nobody, only two beings who they want to help. And at one point, probably because our heart is pure and we have the intention of how we can help, they say, “Okay, I’m going to give information.” So little by little…
Angel Orengo:
“Ah, you’ve arrived.” It’s finally… “Finally you’re here. We’ve been waiting for you,” it’s how it felt.
Rocia Aquino:
And maybe it’s a remembrance that we came to do only this. And you need to pass all this challenge to go to try to say to people, you know, if we pass it, it was very difficult, our story. But now, because we pass it, it’s like you can pass that information. But at one point, you have two parts of the coin here in front of you. Somebody who saw the life with a lot of wisdom and somebody who was totally asleep. And really, it’s funny now because he was sliding through life and I was, all the obstacles happened to me. And it’s like I was observing him, for so many years, that was possible. And I was like, but tell me how. And, and the tell me how came after.
Angel Orengo:
But I want to add to that because what was interesting, it was a sort of a symbiotic relationship. I understood myself fully. Obviously, through all the processes and courses and books that we read, over 200 in a span of two years, but it was observing her and observing how she was experiencing the shift in her. Because I would say, I would close my eyes, I would say, “I don’t feel anything. There’s a knowing, but I don’t feel anything.” And she would say, “Oh, my gosh. And I feel it right here.”
And she would point to wherever in her body it was stuck. And observing each other, experience each other, started opening doors. And so those little miracles that happened showed themselves. One day, for example, we’re having a conversation with a dear friend, and she goes, “Oh, I have someone who’s helping me write my book.” And we’re like, “We need that person.” And it turned out to be the person who helped us, after we wrote for six months, seven months, helped us to organize characters and the stories.
Rocia Aquino:
You see, to make people to understand when they are reading the story, what they are gaining is a guide for life.
Angel Orengo:
We wrote a chapter about a woman who was a widow because we felt that what a loss to experience the loss of her husband. And in a dream, at some point after this chapter is entirely done by the way, it’s a months of work went into it, Rocio gets up and says, “I had a dream last night. She’s not a widow, she’s a divorcee.” And it was, you know, it was a tough day at work that day because we’re challenging each other and saying, but we just finished. And there was the human in us, but we need to finish this. We have deadlines. And…
And it was then the spirit in us that said, “But what the world needs right now is this other example,” because there’s so much of that happening. So we can go on and on. There were so many instances in which something directed us in a different direction. Another instance, for example, we finished the audiobook in Spanish. We got it back and we didn’t connect with it energetically. And it’s, can we save it? And it was like, “No, let’s do it again.” Something was, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve spent on it, do it again. It needs to be at the right energy, otherwise it will not serve the people that it’s meant to serve.
Linda Lang:
There’s a lot in there to unpack you two. Yes. Lots. The first thing I want to ask about is… because there are a lot of people who put the call out that they want to serve, they want to live their purpose, they want to help, however they express that… They put it out to the Universe in prayer, or focus and intention, and then they kind of get lost. They maybe either try and force it or they’re just confused and don’t know how to make it so. You say trust. How did you decipher which breadcrumbs were the ones you were supposed to follow and which ones maybe were coming from your conscious mind telling you should do something?
Rocia Aquino:
It’s not easy. It’s not easy because you really need to (decide) which voice are you (going to) listen?
Linda Lang:
I would say at first, it’s not easy at first, until you learn, right?
Rocia Aquino:
Yes, yes, at the beginning. Because at one point you begin to see, you are afraid, you don’t know how to do it. This is super new. But because we were reading and reading and reading and they. They give us the answers through different teachers. So at one point, you have a book who give you an answer, so you continue. And then another book who give you another answer. Remember, this is so personal because no one can tell you what to do.
And then you need to really stand up and say, “From which place I’m answered? From a place of lack and fear or from a place of abundance?” Do you trust? So… So many times in my life, because everyone who is listening right now can go and look in the back, for example, in their life and see the times that they didn’t listen to them. To themselves. And the results that they have. And in my case, the results was that I was creating from a place of lack, of fear. And then the results were terrible. Okay. All ego, right? So begin to understand that law. And it’s like, okay, you are going to create from a place of really serving, and really trust. And it’s not easy, but you need to begin to make that difference between the ego, the monkey mind, like everyone is saying, and yourself, like the other voice. And that’s why it’s so important to use the tools, because it’s so personal that the way they communicate, or I communicate, is different than the way he’s communicating. And probably you, Linda. And that’s the beauty of these conversations because everyone can check up themselves to see what is, what works for you and where are you standing. And if we help more people to see this, they gonna begin to recognize what is for them, works for them.
Angel Orengo:
I’m sure there’s a lot of listeners who are professionals at a craft. A mechanic, a car mechanic, maybe less so now because cars have changed so much, but would stand next to a car and say, “I hear something,” right? Maybe a doctor sees you and comes in, is like, “I can see something in your eyes.” They’re really perceptive. That level of perception can be developed, can be developed with yourself. Now I, I hear me. I, I feel things that like, “Hmm, what is that? What is it trying to tell me?” It is again, curiosity to say, “Why does that keep showing up in my life? Is there a lesson for me to learn?” Or “Isn’t it funny that this thing keeps appearing,” right? So there are elements that continue to happen when you start entering into that energy, into that vibration, or that direction, where if you pay attention… This is why awareness is critical. Begin to observe yourself deeply.
Rocia Aquino:
Because the Universe is giving you feedback. All the time. All the time. And because now I understand that, I follow what the Universe is telling me. Sometimes I really want that door to be open. “No, you don’t gonna go in that door, baby. You’re gonna go in this one that is open.” And it’s like, you know, I’m gonna trust.
Angel Orengo:
It helps tremendously to heal wounds. Why? Because sometimes someone tells you something and it’s the right message, but you’re so focused on the manner in which they told you that message that you focus on the pain that it’s causing inside of you and not the message itself. And so when you heal wounds, you present yourself in the world almost with a shield. It’s almost like you have this Teflon, and so it allows you to see things more clearly and not get caught up in the unnecessary noise that may be surrounding that message.
Linda Lang:
That’s probably why there are so many spiritual teachers, too, because not everyone can hear it from the same person. They might hear this same message a hundred times until it clicks, right?
Angel Orengo:
Yes.
Linda Lang:
And that goes back to the energy and frequency. You said the energy and the frequency wasn’t right when you recorded it in Spanish. That energy part, that resonance, is really, really important if you want to find alignment with who’s supposed to hear it. So can you talk a little bit about why we need to pay more attention to the energy of things. The frequency that we both put out and also receive, right? Because it helps us to align.
Angel Orengo:
Everything is energy. In fact, in our book, we have a quote from Nikola Tesla — the Nikola Tesla — that says, if you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration. Everything is, even though we live in a physical world, everything is vibrating at a certain frequency, and that gives it its solid, liquid, gas shape, etc. State, etc. The moment you understand that, that your thoughts, your actions, everything around you emits a frequency. Your heart, that, that beating of the heart…
There is incredible amount of science testing that has been done that proves that the heart is much more than a pump of blood, that it’s emitting a frequency. And you know, it’s funny, the moment I read that and started studying that, I said, “Oh, no wonder we say, what does your heart say?” Right? So we’ve asked ourselves, somehow it’s embedded. There’s a wisdom embedded in our people, in our culture, in our experience, in which at some point our heart was clearly a source of wisdom. And we sort of forgotten about it., but we still say, “What does your heart say?” So it means it’s not entirely left our, our field, if you will. So the moment that we started to understand that everything around us was energy, the moment that we started to understand that when we do gratitude, gratitude expands inside of us as a field, a force field that pushes out heaviness.
And we did this with actual exercises with our children, for example. I do it now with myself whenever I feel heavy or when she feels heavy. The first thing is, you want to go into gratitude because it elevates you into a little lighter. Life is better when you’re grateful, but not only is it better, it’s almost as if you raise yourself to the top of the building or the top of the ladder, and all of a sudden you have a better view of everything around you, and you can then act accordingly. And then we learned also that guilt and shame were some of the lowest forms of energy. And when you are in guilt and shame, your view of the world is really pessimistic. And so all of that started to make sense and we started to put it into practice and then saw its actual impact in our lives, you know, like on a daily basis. And that’s when we started to say, “Oh, wow, this is real stuff.”
Angel Orengo:
And I don’t need anybody else to tell me. I know how I’m feeling. I know how I was feeling four minutes ago after doing a gratitude exercise. So this is real. And that’s where it just, it became a wave that we just never got off of.
Linda Lang:
Sometimes we get in these emotional energies that are really hard to get out of, but if you could reach for appreciation, that will open the door to gratitude.
Rocia Aquino:
And when you are struggling, really the most important is you need to believe in yourself. We can do amazing things. So I didn’t believe in myself. Society, my family and everyone was telling me all the time that I was not enough and I don’t have a value. But in the moment that I saw my value, the only thing that I have been is incredible. So that’s why I want more people to feel the way I feel today. Because (it) was horrible when you are in the other place. Because I really was lonely and no one can understand my pain and I didn’t have a support system, so no one came to rescue me.
The only person who rescued me was me. And that’s why today, I’m not talking from a place from privilege. I didn’t have any privilege, but the privilege is embedded inside of us. If we have the keys that are available, we can really open any door that we want. And that is the point. Because if someone is there, outside struggling, (there) are ways for going out of there. I didn’t took medicines because even….. I was not able to ask anyone. You see, I was, really, when I went to therapy was because I went with a friend who we were to pick up her mother.
And then it’s like, “Therapy, therapy. I need therapy.” But therapy did one part. More things are available for us to really unlock ourselves. And that’s, that’s the beauty of what we today we are discussing. And for that reason is like, if you don’t feel it, keep trying because it’s possible.
Linda Lang:
It’s another example of following those breadcrumbs, Rocio.
Rocia Aquino:
Yes.
Linda Lang:
Now obviously your book has energy because everything has energy, and it was very nurtured by both of you, and by spirit to give birth to this book. Am I correct in thinking that you consider this book, the frequency of this book, as almost like medicine? That it can heal people’s blockages in their psyche and their emotional bodies, in their spirit?
Angel Orengo:
Most definitely. If you had asked this question before we published it, we would tell, “I don’t know. I just know that it’s helped us.”
Linda Lang:
Right?
Angel Orengo:
There was healing for us, not just before writing the book, but while we were writing it. There was a transformation that took place as well during that process, and after today, after having listened and read so many messages from so many people that have experienced the book, I will without a doubt tell you, absolute yes. Something happens when you surround yourself by love, and you empower yourself to go inside and do that healing. And again, many of us are looking for external things in order to heal. “Help me. You tell me what to do.” Many people say that to us and (we) said, “No, don’t give me that power. It’s not for me to take, and it shouldn’t be for you to give. It is yours and yours alone.”
But find inspiration. And so we’ve had people who have said, “It’s given me the strength to make some tough decisions in my life. It’s gotten me out of a depression that I’ve been in for a couple of years.” And we can go on. It’s really beautiful, just the journey in which it takes, because it ultimately is… you have all the answers inside of you, and all you need is a container of love so that you can sit, breathe, right? And listen to yourself and find those answers. And I know it sounds, to the person who may be listening, kind of like, really? Well, that’s the beauty. And it’s meditation. There’s so many tools that do that to you, and they all have one thing in common, which is listen to yourself. Listen to that intuition.
Linda Lang:
It’s a real testament to the power of storytelling as well, and the fact that it’s written as a nonfiction book and still can unlock those doors for people to help them do their own work. But would you also say that just by simply reading the book, without them maybe triggering their own healing work, that simply by reading the book is enough to kind of shift their perception a little bit? That it changes their direction?
Rocia Aquino:
Yes, because it’s giving you inspiration, and inspiration to see yourself with another lens. Plus, remember, if we were channeling this book, every person who read the book is going to find the message that the book wants to give you for you to find the keys of your own beautiful life. So in that case is, do you want, do you want to take that step? Do you accept this gift? And it’s a personal answer for anyone who is there, listen(ing) to us. We are giving… not us… a lot of miracles around us. Are you taking them? Are you accepting all these miracles in your life? And now I can tell you, because I live them, Is for anyone to take.
Linda Lang:
We just need to be open to receive them. Right?
Angel Orengo:
The force that we’ve tapped into and it’s been, it’s been around for a long time. It’ll be around after we’re gone. And it’s been called many names, but it’s everyone’s. It belongs to everybody. This is not Angel’s and Rocio’s or Linda’s. This is everyone’s. You have a divine right to experience it. And it’s inside of you, waiting for you to realize that. Waiting for you to say, “Okay, I’m worthy. I live in abundance. I am.”
Rocia Aquino:
“I’m creativity.”
Angel Orengo:
“I am.” Yeah. And so when you tap into it, something happens. It starts unraveling. And I think, going back to your question, that’s what storytelling does at this kind of level. It takes you on a journey that you’ve been in before. You know, it is through storytelling that we’ve told ancestral stories about our families and our friends. And something happens when you open up to that.
It just really uncodes incredible amount of information that lies within us. And so you don’t have to read the book with the idea that you’re going to heal. You just have to read the book with the idea that you’re going to learn something about some interesting characters. And in this particular case, because of the way that it’s written, it so just happens that you read about five women, but ultimately it is six people that end up in that story, because by the end of it, you’re like, “Oh, I was there with them and I experienced some of those things. And in fact, some of the things they experience are the very same things that I’ve experienced.” And you heal with them as well. So come along, if for nothing at all, simply for the story and allow yourself to be lost in it.
Linda Lang:
It’s just like how Harry Potter opened the world up to more magic. And all of the superheroes are opening the world to everyone’s own superpowers, right?
Angel Orengo:
Yes.
Rocia Aquino:
Yes.
Angel Orengo:
And it’s funny you say that. I have said often, Marvel… Marvel is just a mirror of who we are. And the beauty is that everyone has a specific superpower. And the moment you put it together and you know, when you see it, you see it in teams, whenever teams come together, and they come with an openness and a respect for what everyone brings to that table. And ideally as a circular table so that no one is in a hierarchy or not or out of it. But when you discover that, you’re like, “Oh, my superpower is to talk to people. My superpower is to create beautiful events.
My superpower is to keep the house tidy so that other people can live in it and enjoy it.” I mean, whatever it is, there’s so much…. And when you vibrate… Some people’s superpower shows up when they’re in the 25th kilometer or mile of a marathon and they say they go into a flow. We see all these people that are like, “Oh, my gosh, did you see what they do?” It’s when they tap into that magic. And you have it, too, without a doubt. I know it. And…
Rocia Aquino:
And we want to see it.
Angel Orengo:
And we want to see it, because my world will be better when you are tapping into your superpower,
Linda Lang:
Do you think we would have a few minutes to do an activation for the listeners? Perhaps something that would help them become more aligned or to open to the possibility of receiving more? Yeah.
Rocia Aquino:
Beautiful. Do you want to do the meditation?
Angel Orengo:
Sure.
Rocia Aquino:
Of the heart?
Angel Orengo:
Yeah, we can, if it’s okay with you, we would love to do a brief centering. To some people, it’s a meditation. To some people, it’s a prayer. Really, it doesn’t matter what you call it, it’s really just to get in touch with yourself, and most of it is just breathing. So, if that’s okay… we’d love that.
Linda Lang:
That’s perfect. Thank you.
Angel Orengo:
Of course. Okay, so first of all, to you who are listening, we don’t know where you are, so make sure you’re in a safe place. Make sure if you’re doing something that requires your full attention, stay focused. If you are driving, if you’re driving, don’t close your eyes, obviously. But we say this because sometimes we react to energy and we react to commands almost subconsciously, and so it’s really important. So if you find yourself comfortable in a safe place, I’m going to ask you to please close your eyes, get into a comfortable position, unlock your arms or your feet, if they are, and simply just breathe. Inhale and exhale at your pace.
Do it once, twice, maybe a third time. And as you’re sitting there or standing, just even if your eyes are open, just feel your fingertips, get a sensation, get the feeling for where your body is, how it comes in touch with your clothing. Perhaps where your feet are touching the ground, the surface. Experience yourself. Some of you may be able to listen to your heart, your heartbeat. Just experience yourself. And any thoughts pop up, pop into your mind, just acknowledge them. Thank you.
And then go back to the sensations in your body, the feelings, tingles that you may feel. And as you acknowledge yourself, perhaps give gratitude for this amazing machine that you
Linda Lang:
have
Angel Orengo:
that allows you to do all these amazing things, to be, to work, to generate, to exist and thank the whole, but also its parts. And some of the parts are more common than others, and we thank the more often. Our arms, our hands, our feet, our lungs, our eyes, our mouth. But there’s other cells throughout your body, small organs, your hairs, the blood, all these hormones, all these chemicals. Thank it all. And just experience the feeling of gratitude. And allow every cell in your body to experience that.
And observe your breathing. Observe just how simple it can be. I’m going to ask you, just as you’re acknowledging your body, to step out of it and look at it from afar, as if you were a second person observing it. And just look at your surroundings and the space around you, and also be grateful for it. I thank you for allowing me to exist, for surrounding me. And we have this ability now, because we’ve separated ourselves from our body, to go above and beyond, fly, fly away from it. And just look at everything, how it becomes smaller. Your home, the place in which you find yourself, the city, the village, the country, the planet.
And allow yourself to sort of fly in the abyss of the emptiness of space. There you are sitting in a room, but here you are looking at everything that surrounds you. And at the same time, just turn around and look. Whatever you see. I see planets, I see the sun, I see stars, I see satellites going around me. Thank it all. Deep gratitude for its existence and for being part of you. And you part of it.
Experience that experience, that freedom, that stillness, that silence. Smile if you can. It brings a certain sensation to your body and a certain energy. And acknowledge, I am… I belong… I deserve everything I am in the world. Everything I want to be is within my reach. Breathe. Deep breath. And then come back slowly back to that room, to that place, to your body.
And once again, thank it for being the shell that allows you to exist. And at the same time, thank your spirit for allowing you that experience to get away. And look at it all from different perspective and different eyes. You’re much greater than you realize. Or perhaps you already realize it and you’re already on the journey of that greatness, of that existence. Take a deep breath. And once again give thanks.
Express gratitude for simply existing in your space. And when you’re ready, just open your eyes and come back to this space.
Linda Lang:
Beautiful. Thank you.
Angel Orengo:
It’s my pleasure. Thank you as well.
Linda Lang:
Beautiful, expansive energy and profoundly centering.
Angel Orengo:
And I would love to add, Linda, this is, this is simple. It’s what? Three minutes, five minutes? And imagine if we added this at different times of our days, when we’re about to go for that great job interview, when we’re about to have that difficult or challenging conversation with someone we love, when we’re about to “fill in the blank.” Nothing like becoming centered so that you can go on with your life and take all the action steps you want to take from that place of strength, of I am, I can, I will, I am able. Those are words from a beautiful meditation from someone we, we follow and enjoy. But when you say them and when you experience them from that place of peace, you connect all the pieces of you. And that’s where the power comes from to do the unthinkable, the unimaginable. That’s beauty and that’s power.
Linda Lang:
Thank you both for joining me today. I thoroughly love this conversation.
Angel Orengo:
Us as well.
Rocia Aquino:
Yes, this was really special. Thank you so much.
