March is an unpredictable month.

We’ve all heard the old saying “if March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb.” But what does it really mean?

The phrase is believed to have originated in the 19th century, where it was used to describe the weather in England. It was presumed that if the month of March began with a stormy start, then it would end in a milder and calmer fashion.

The phrase has also taken on a metaphorical meaning, suggesting that if a situation starts off with difficulty, it will eventually turn out for the better.
