One of the major reasons I started studying Huna was my desire to have more alignment between my Higher Self, my conscious self and my subconscious.  I wanted that sense of congruency, of knowing what was right for me and what wasn’t.

The fact that Huna also teaches a host of energy and psychology techniques for one to do their inner work and to assist others, was a HUGE benefit. Huna has been a deep and most worthwhile path for me.

There are many other schools that teach similar paths as well.  One thing they all have in common is Self Awareness. In order to be the master of your life, there is a level of consciousness one must strive for.  An understanding of Self, what motives you, what triggers you.

In Huna we are taught to take responsibility for our creation of life. This does not mean casting blame on mis-creations, but rather about being responsible for our reactions to life’s circumstances. It is a work in progress, to be sure.

This level of self reflection takes courage; you need to be absolutely truthful with yourself.  But once you do, it opens you up to a greater level of empowerment.  For if you are at cause in your life, you have the power to change it.  It is when we have a victim consciousness that we give our power away.

PearlInside of all of us lies an incredible light that we have come to share, things we are here to teach and to learn.

If you are wanting to shine more of your light into the world, I strongly recommend you take time regularly for self reflection.   And just listen to your inner response.  Once you start, it will become easier and quicker.  If you don’t like what you see, you know you have some changes to make.

As you practice this, you will become aware of your inner responses and if you listen to them, they can guide you appropriately on your path. You will learn how to listen to your gut.

Even simply asking your innate wisdom, “Does this bring me life?  Or take life away?” will help you find clarity.  Perhaps you would prefer to substitute “energy’ for the word “life.”

When you find you need help, reach out. The Universe brings us support in many ways. Your commitment will show it that you are serious in your desire to live more fully.
